Interface Consulting Welcomes Expert Tom Garbee to Staff

Interface Consulting International, Inc., is pleased to announce the addition of senior managing consultant Tom K. Garbee, PE, to its staff of experts. With over 30 years of experience as an engineer, project manager, project director, and EPC consultant, Mr. Garbee brings key oil and gas industry expertise to Interface’s clients.

“Throughout his impressive career, Tom has led and successfully managed large upstream and downstream capital projects throughout the world,” said Lisa Heard, Interface Consulting executive vice president. “As an EPC contractor and consultant, he brings unique insight into multiple stages of the project lifecycle, including mitigating risks and cost and schedule overruns, turning around distressed projects, and negotiating, analyzing, and resolving engineering and construction disputes and claims.”

Mr. Garbee holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Texas A&M University and is a licensed professional engineer in Texas, Colorado, and Louisiana. He has consulted on and managed a variety of onshore and offshore oil and gas projects in North America, South America, Africa, and Asia, including FPSO facilities, MOPUs, pipelines, and gas field developments, among others. Mr. Garbee’s expertise includes quantum and schedule analysis, cost assessment, change order development, project management, and claims management and analysis; he has also participated in mediations and legal and arbitral proceedings, including providing testimony.

“Tom’s seasoned EPC and leadership background will help manage Interface’s oil and gas division,” Ms. Heard added, “and provide valuable insight on our clients’ energy projects. We are glad to welcome him to the Interface team.”
