Interface’s Rachel Tenney to Serve as Engineering Judge for Rice Engineering Week Competition
Interface Consulting International, Inc., a global expert services firm, is pleased that project consultant Rachel Tenney will serve as a judge in the annual Rice University Student Engineering Competition held on February 20, 2019. The Rice Global Forum sponsors the event in partnership with the George R. Brown School of Engineering and Fluor Corporation to observe National Engineers’ Week.
Ms. Tenney, a Rice graduate (BS – Mechanical Engineering), and her fellow engineering judges will judge teams of students tasked with solving a practical engineering problem submitted by Fluor. The student teams are evaluated on various criteria such as the amount of time spent solving the problem, whether the solution meets specified standards, and the amount of construction materials left unused at the end of the competition. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winning teams.
